Welcome
Welcome to the website for one of the largest International Trade Clubs in the United States. We were founded in 1947 and are now in our sixty-third year.
Our objectives are to promote participation and growth in international trade, and to provide a medium for effective networking and world class educational meetings and hospitality. We are the key organization in our community to meet importers and exporters, ocean carriers, railroads, truckers, airlines, customs house brokers and forwarders, port representatives, international bankers, warehouse providers and more.
Our largest events are Port Night! in the fall and the Memphis Multi Modal Conference each spring. In addition, we host monthly networking/educational events, typically on the third Tuesday of each month. And don't forget the Airport Cities Conference, coming to Memphis April 11-13, 2011.
Some notes about our events:
-
Thanks to Mark George's timely presentation on the chassis issues facing transportation industry, the MWTC hosted a successful August Monthly Meeting at Jim's Place East on Tuesday, August 24. To view Mr. George's presentation, click here.
- This September 24-26, we will return to New Orleans for our fun-filled weekend in the French Quarter and at the Port of New Orleans. The Tour is now full - contact Moriah Lee at moriahlee@memphisworldtradeclub.com for wait list information.
- For these and all other events, be sure to check out our events page for on-line registration to all upcoming events.
While we encourage membership, it is not required to attend Club functions, with the exception for Port Night! Membership costs $60 annually; this fee supports Club's initiatives, provides you with access to our members and news content and includes opportunities for event discounts and other benefits.
We are proud of our winning partnership with the Memphis Regional Chamber and equally proud to support the dynamic distribution and logistics industry located in and around the Memphis tri-state area. We are also pleased to be working with Cargo Business News to promote fun, educational events and news content to our members and guest. On behalf of the Memphis World Trade Club, welcome to our website.
Sincerely,
Cannon F. Allen, Sr., Adams and Reese LLP
